This tongue-in-cheek senryu came to me today as I was pondering the difficulties people have in understanding one another. Our lives might be easier if they came with a script, but we wouldn't enjoy the movie quite so much if we knew what to expect at every turn of the page, would we?

"We are strangers to each other... each one's life a novel no one else has read..." - from "Entrè Nous" by Rush.
Good take on the prompt, Lynette! Love the photo too - are those your home movies?
This is just a pile of discards that called out to me as other people's rejects often do, Sherry!
And thanks for the great music reference, Eric...I'd forgotten about this song!
Well Done~ You are so right! :D
I think we should all come with a set of instructions!!!
Agreed!
Lynette,
What a very clever use of the prompt.
Indeed life is a 'bag of dolly mixtures'!!
Hope all is good with you Lynette,
Eileen
So True!
So true :)
This is a great interpretation of the stacks of old movie reels! Each of us has his own movie reel in his head and we never know fully what movie is in another's head.
Haha! Very clever.
