Signs, Signs: Louisiana

In October, my husband and I flew into Dallas, then rented a car to breeze through Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Leaving New Orleans, we drove south in a quest to hit the end of the state.

When we did reach the southernmost point, we couldn't  actually see the Gulf as the land was privately owned.

Nonetheless, it was one of our favourite parts of the trip.

This is my first time joining in 'Signs, Signs' for a year and I've missed playing. Thanks for hosting, Lesley!

Hi Lynette, I must laugh at your use of the words 'breeze through',
there is no breezing through those States, any for that matter, I've been through them all now, except Alaska, and they still have secret hideaways. Mind you somewhere on I-10 there is no speed limit so that cuts down on traveling time. I'm sure you drove 'friendly' the Texas way!

Wish I could just hop on a plane and go to Dallas, One of my very dearest friends lives there and I have only seen her once in the past 30 years. Have a good day. Diane

Thats a shame you couldn't actually see the gulf. Hope the trip was enjoyable.

Well it can't be the southernmost point if there's land beyond it, that's just silly lol

Thanks for stopping by, everyone.

Mosaic 10...you're right about the traffic down there, though in fact, that particular stretch of road was bare of traffic except for the odd fisherman. It made up for the day before when we'd had to cross Dallas from DFW in rush hour. That was insane!

My husband and I love taking road trips, too! We enjoy the scenery as much as the people we meet along the way :)

That's a fine sign. Wish I was there right now. It is -10 here this morning.

Nice capture, and hopefully you'll get a chance to see it in the future.
