T is for Thunderclouds

I have an ongoing love affair with clouds...I'm often seen gazing at the heavens to catch the inexorable ebb and flow of movement across the sky.

On a road trip several years ago, my husband and I seemed to drift from one storm to another, no matter how far we travelled or how many states we crossed.
Mesa Verde, Colorado

Awed by the power and beauty, I took shot after shot.

These are some of the results....

 Monument Valley, Utah

Bryce Canyon, Utah

Antelope Canyon, Arizona

A fairly typical November day here in Vancouver

And after the storm come rainbows.

I captured this one arcing over the River Lagan in my birth city of Belfast, Northern Ireland.

For more takes on the letter "T", do drop by ABC Wednesday and enjoy the view...

I've always liked Saskatchewan's motto -- "Land of Living Skies" -- your photos evoke that too.

These are terrific shots of the tremendous nature. I love thunderstorms although I know they can be dangerous. Carver, ABC Wed. Team

The canyon, in particular, is magnificent. But they are all good; that gully washer would make me nervous

Oh, Lynette, your photos are out of this world, except for the one of Vancouver, which I know from long experience is only too much of this world!
LOL
Gorgeous, gorgeous post. I think I've convinced Dick to pack up the car with me and the dog, and take a road trip to see some of those canyons.

Okay now I am wondering if you and "her" are really one and the same. For about the past month "she" has had a serious fixation with stormy clouds. Has drawn, chaulked and painted trying to capture just the right shade. Yes, seriously. Even has contemplated painted a storm scene on one of the walls. Hmmmm....are you both on the same wave length or is it the bottled water????

Purrs,

Romeo

P.S. Incredible photos!

Oh wow, that was amazing! We only had blue skies with not a cloud to be seen, no-one could believe how good it was given the time of year!

These photos are superb! I also love clouds whether I am under them or watching over them from an aircraft. It is like watching the sea – always changing.
