My World: Snow Day!

My girl Meeghan loves snow as dearly as I do. Sadly, we are out of luck a lot of the time…in our mild West Coast climate, precipitation most often comes in the form of plentiful rain.
.
 .
You may then realize the giddy excitement with which we greet our occasional snowfall. In short, we turn into grinning fools…leaping through the drifts, (well- Meeghan leaps and I lumber!), chasing snowballs, and cheerily greeting other small dogs in their winter coats.
.
.
Alas...our snow celebrations are, of necessity, brief: by afternoon, we are usually wading through slush. But for those fleeting, magical moments in time, we happily throw ourselves into the glory of winter’s icy offering and grab from it every sweet minute of pleasure that we can…

I am linking up today with Klaus and his team at My World Tuesday. For a glimpse at many wonderful sights, do stop by the link below...

Your girl is so adorable in her green coat. We are having snow days over here too. My car has not left the driveway. Snow is thick and it is, surprisingly, staying...........By the way, I love the photo of you and Meeghan on the right. Wonderful photo!

I LOVE hearing about someone besides me who gets GIDDY about snow falls! And now I live in the frozen tundra of Wisconsin and I STILL get giddy about snow falls!!!

I notice your little dots used to space your post they way you want it. I do the same thing - - - but a while back I learned the trick of making that dot the color of the background and it doesn't show! I don't know HOW I figured that out - - - it just CAME to me out of the clear blue one day.

Folks far more clever than I know how to go into the HTML and put in the CODE that makes the space - - - but alas and alack, I am NOT one of those.

What a pretty green jacket Meeghan is wearing. Your comments are picturesque and very joyful about snow. It seems as if Meeghan especially loves the fluffy white stuff. My pet used to also have fun playing in the snow. I remember having to bath him afterwards in warm water to get off those frozen clumps that stuck to his hair. He always seemed so content when I wrapped him in a warm blanket afterwards to dry him off. Your post is a reminder of these precious pet moments!

Wonderful, Lynette. I would love to see you frolicking in the snow with Meeghan.
Lindy loves to go for walks in the snow, and likes to roll around on her back in the snow, but she doesn't frolic much unless she has kids or another dog to play with.
She doesn't wear a coat like Meeghan's. She doesn't mind being dressed, but apparently she doesn't need it because Goldens are naturally insulated against cold. However, she does wear boots. She's too big to put into a warm bath to get the ice out from between the pads of her feet, although we have used a pan of warm water for that reason when the ice-balls are really bad.
Hugs to you and Meeghan!
