Life in our West Coast rainforest means that many birds stay all year round to enjoy the temperate climate, a definite boon for those of us who delight in their daily visits.
Chickadees, wrens and finches abound, chased away only briefly by the appearance of the loud and bossy Steller's Jay.

I am posting these photos as my first entry into My World Tuesday, graciously hosted by Klaus, Sandy, Wren and Sylvia.

How nice to find you sharing your wonderful bird photos on My World, Lynette. Those striking red headed finches are one of my favorites … although it is a joy when any little bird flits by or lands on the backyard birdbath. Like you, I’ve seen a variety of birds year round in southwest BC. And as the weather is warming up they already seem to be planning their nests. :)
Adorable birds, Lynette! I love the finches, but I also rather like Stellar's Jays. Loud and bossy though they definitely are, they're BC's official provincial bird.

Lynette,
Thank you for sharing these absolutely beautiful bird friends.
I just love my garden and the many birds who are also regular visitors.
They never cease to amaze me with their tenacity to survive, even through the harshest of winter temperatures.
I hope things are better for you this week.
Best Regards,
Eileen
Lovely closeups of the birds coming back for Spring! :)

What beautiful birds!! :))
Lovely little critters, so vibrant. You must be quick with your camera to get such good shots......
