A new year is upon us. I always feel uplifted at this point, unable to contain my excitement at the promise of new beginnings, the chance to start fresh and do better. I've neatly filled in birthdays on my calendar, and picked out the paint for that bathroom I meant to redo last year, (and the year before). Time will no longer get away from me! Ever the optimist, I know this year will be the one when I finish up old projects, explore new ones and finally get published. A world of possibility lies ahead...I grab hold of that anticipation and run with it! I hope the same sense of hope fills your heart.

Given the busyness of the holiday season, and an adverse reaction to new medication, I have been remiss in keeping my blog up-to-date. My first resolution is to rectify that, to keep my page fresh and to visit each and every one of you regularly.
.
Have a wonderful and inspiring New Year, my dear friends...

The photo above was taken at Van Dusen Gardens in Vancouver, B.C., where we have our annual Boxing Day dinner. The trees reflected in the pool just begged to have their picture taken.

Gorgeous photo, Lynette. Makes me homesick again, but I'll be out in early February. We must see about getting together, but let's not compare our adverse reactions to new meds. LOL
You are much more optimistic than I am today, but I am still fighting off a cold or something I've had for more than 3 weeks, in Hawaii and at home.
Wishing you and yours all the best for 2011. See you soon, I hope.

Lynette, wishing you a very Happy New Year! I'm so sorry you had an adverse reaction to meds. Boy do I understand that! Hopefully, you will feel much better soon.
All the best for 2011...
XO,
Sheila :-)
Beautiful photo, Lynette,I so love Christmas lights, everything all prettied up. It is freezing cold over here, but pretty. I, too, love the sense of new beginnings - off with THAT old year, on with the new which can only be better! Jas got a good report from the vet the other day so that bodes well. Am still sitting here in my fleece jammies, so looks like it is going to be that kind of a day:) Happy New Year to you and Michael and the kids........shall we have a race to see who gets their painting done first? hee hee.
Happy new year, good like with your resolutions :o)
How beautiful! I love the Van Dusen Gardens but have only been there in the summer. Happy 2011!
Beautiful picture!! And I like your optimism, I am going to try and run with that same positivity :) Happy New Year!! May it be filled with great health, joy, prosperity and love! :)
