A Utah Watery Wednesday

On a recent trip to the U.S., I fell in love with Utah...with its wide open spaces, its stunning scenery and its royal blue skies that seem to go
on forever.
.

Whilst there, we visited
several of the state's parks. I took these photos at Canyonlands National Park, intrigued by the gnarled tree trunks and their perfect mirror image reflected in the shallow pools left behind by a recent rainfall.

Lynette, I have always wanted to visit Utah because I have heard the scenery is amazing. I've seen some pretty neat shots, and these fit the bill. I love the reflection of the trees in the water, and look at the color of the soil! Love the way the colors look in that first shot particularly.

Thanks for sharing...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Love these photos, and the others in your preceding travel posts. Amazing haiku too. Glad you didn't get arrested in Utah for trespassing again!

Lynette -- I've never thought of Utah as anything other than a place to drive through on the way to Arizona or something. I've never been there, but I like to map out car trips (about which my husband later changes his mind) and Utah is between here and several other places.
Having seen your photos, however, it looks like a great place to stop for photos. Thanks! Glad you're back. I've missed you.

Oh, finally, someone else who loved Utah! I thought it was amazingly scenic, yet my friends I was travelling with at the time could not understand.
