on the tongue, your caustic words

eat into my soul...

Oooooooh, wonderful haiku, powerful message. One feels the shriveling spirit under the caustic biting words.....so well done. I forgot it was Thursday, had better get to making some lemonade:)

So much in seventeen syllables, Lynette, and the picture is perfect. (Nothing sadder than a book abandoned outside.)

Lynette,

I felt a chill from your words...
The very word 'bitter', seems to carry the message.
Best wishes, Eileen

PS: Thank you for your very kind comments regarding the Poets Life Interview.

I like this one. It's short and i like the way you've compared a lemon to harsh words. Indeed a combo of sour caustic and bitter.
