Following last week's Royal Wedding, I thought to post signage I captured around the stables at Buckingham Palace on a visit several years ago.
.
Of course I wasn't worried about the horses biting, and who could resist those beautiful brown eyes, after all?

Who indeed could resist those eyes?? :)
ReplyDeleteHello Lynette,
ReplyDeleteVery witty signs, especially given their location!!!
Lots of pomp and ceremony and a very busy city.
London is not my favourite place, as it is just too crowded and too busy. Living in a small market town has lowered my tolerance level for 'BIGNESS'!!
Lovely photographs, as usual.
Best wishes, Eileen
Oh these are fantastic signs, Lynette! How very cool!!!!! When did you take these? Did you stop here on your way to Glasgow? Marvellous.
ReplyDeleteHey, I saw the Royal Mews from the top of a double-decker tour bus! Unfortunately that's as close as I got. Next time!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely horse! Great shots.
ReplyDeleteI've only been to England once and that was long ago. I don't remember whether we saw the Mews or not ... but I do remember the double decker bus tour, and not being able to understand the taxi drivers.
ReplyDeleteThese are great pictures. I wonder if anyone has ever been stepped on, kicked or bitten by the horses...
very nice captures. were you in th crowd for the wedding?
ReplyDeleteLove the quiet gaze of the horse! And as for signs round Buckinhgham Palace, I don't think I have ever seen them photographed before! Interesting photos!
ReplyDeleteHey, I'm impressed that when you were there you thought to take these photos!
ReplyDeletewhat EG said!
ReplyDeleteNice looking horse.
I was surprised they have a shop there.
ReplyDeleteI have loved London ever since I lived there for 8 months in 1974. Great signs!
ReplyDeletethey have a shop? did you buy anything, or just take pictures?!
ReplyDeleteLoved visiting the Royal Mews. So glad you brought us this post....alway enjoy a walk down memory lane at my age.
ReplyDeleteI don't know which one is is terrifying and painful the bite or the kick ^_^ Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteSigns
Great London signs.
ReplyDeleteSydney - City and Suburbs
That is a great shot of the horse. I love the word "mews." I don't know why it is just old school. Really old school.
ReplyDeleteDon't know about biting, but I think the first one's eyeing up your camera for lunch ;o)
ReplyDeletelove the first sign.btw thanks for the lovely comment.
ReplyDeleteI suppose all horses may bite or kick, but I also suppose they got tired of rescue tourists.
ReplyDeleteDon't you love london? It's one of my favorite cities.
That's an interesting set of signs. I particularly like the house one.
ReplyDeleteSo fun!!! I would love to see Buckingham palace some day. The horse is beautiful, but I'm hoping those ears are back due to him listening to who ever is on his back, and not because he is mad!

I like the way the British signs always seem so polite.
ReplyDeleteYou got some wonderful London signs! We loved the polite signs when we were there (please and thank you!).... I enjoyed watching the Royal Wedding on TV and reminiscing about the year we were there in the Spring!
