A Halloween Haiku

We fear nothing so

much as fear to which we have

not yet put a name...

I have dreams in which I frantically check every locked door and window, only to discover that one has been silently breached. I don't know what I fear will get in if I'm not vigilant, but the worry continues to plague me!

The photo above was taken at the prison in Lincoln Castle, England

  3. Good to see you back, Lynette. I've missed you.
Great choice for Halloween, a prison window. (Teeny tiny typo in Lincoln, the editor in me cries.)

  7. Halloween is a great time to consider that deep down we are all a little defenseless against unseen forces. Your timely haiku and dream expresses the vulnerability well. Nice to have you back, Lynette!

  10. Funny how dreams affect us isn't it? My dreams are always of being chased..oddly enough, by an unknown. Creepy picture and great post :)
