Mysterious Windows

Lincoln Castle, England

Windows let in light...they illuminate our inner rooms and allow us to clearly view the world outside our doors.
.
But when those windows are besmeared by the ravages of time and weather, an element of mystery adds drama that clouds their usual clarity.
These are the windows into which I eagerly peer, in hopes of uncovering what secrets have been hidden...
and returning them to the light.

I've picked windows that intrigued me and am linking them to Mary T's 'Window Views...and doors too!' . For more photos, do stop by the following link...

It is perfectly clear to me why you were intrigued with these particular windows, Lynette. Not only are they the vehicle for light to pass through, they radiate mystery and charm. The words accompanying your photos bring thought-provoking insight to each scene!

The cob webby one is so artsy! Creepy, but artsy the way it swoops like that :)

Window shapes and textures fascinate me too! Love this collection!

In answer to your question about my 100 Picture Challenge, a senior student at my school threw out the challenge to me! She dared me! This was just a one off project still not quite complete! It takes awhile! But a lot of fun!

Thanks for the great comments on my blog!

I love the last window with cobwebs.

The last window, with light and a draft, makes a great home for the spiders. Interesting collection of windows from far away places!

Oh those are amazing shots. I could see any of them as enlargements, gorgeous and stunning on a wall.
